Terms of Service
Effective 11 September 2026
These Terms govern your use of getdaawat.com and the Daawat service (“Daawat”, “we”, “us”), operated by a sole proprietor based in Indonesia. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Daawat.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract to use Daawat.
2. The service
Daawat lets you design digital wedding/event invitations. You can build and preview an invitation for free (shown with a watermark and limited features). To publish it — removing the watermark and enabling your shareable link and RSVPs — you make a one-time payment for that invitation. A published invitation stays live for approximately one year. Features and templates may change over time.
3. Your account
- Provide accurate information and keep your login secure.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Tell us promptly at support@getdaawat.com if you suspect unauthorised use.
4. Your content and responsibilities
- You keep ownership of the content you add (names, photos, text, guest details).
- You confirm you have the right to use that content, including any photos and any personal data of guests you add.
- You grant Daawat a limited licence to host, process and display your content solely to provide the service to you.
- You must not use Daawat for anything unlawful, infringing, deceptive, hateful or harmful, or to upload content you do not have rights to. We may remove content or suspend accounts that breach these Terms.
5. Our intellectual property
The Daawat name, brand, website, software and template artwork (the painted “worlds”, illustrations and designs) belong to us or our licensors. Publishing an invitation gives you a personal, non-exclusive licence to use that invitation for your own event. It does not transfer ownership of the underlying templates or artwork, and you may not resell or redistribute them.
6. Prices, payment and taxes
Prices are shown on the site and may change. Payments are handled by our payment provider, Blink, acting as Merchant of Record: they process the transaction and handle any applicable sales tax/VAT. Your purchase is also subject to the payment provider’s terms.
Prices may differ by country. We set the price from the country your connection appears to be in. In some countries we show the price in your local currency but your card is charged in a different currency (for example US dollars); checkout always shows the exact amount and currency you will be billed before you pay. Your bank may add its own currency-conversion fees.
7. Refunds
Digital invitations are delivered instantly on publishing, so fees are non-refundable once an invitation is published, except where required by law. Please see our Refund Policy for full details, including the EU/UK cancellation right and the waiver you agree to at checkout.
8. Third-party content
If you add third-party content (for example a YouTube link as music), that content is subject to the third party’s terms, and we are not responsible for it.
9. Service “as is” and availability
We work hard to keep Daawat available and beautiful, but the service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Daawat will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, and our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the invitation concerned. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Daawat at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end access for breach of these Terms or to comply with the law.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms; the effective date above shows the latest version. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, and disputes are subject to the competent courts of Indonesia, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
