This policy explains how Daawat (getdaawat.com) uses cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small files stored on your device.

Daawat uses only strictly-necessary (essential) cookies. We do not use advertising, marketing or analytics cookies, so no cookie-consent banner is required to browse the site. You can still control cookies through your browser at any time.

1. Essential cookies we use

daawat_session — keeps you securely signed in to your account. Set only after you log in; needed for the service to work.
daawat_admin — keeps an administrator signed in to the admin area (only ever set for administrators).

These are “first-party” cookies, set by us, and are essential to provide a service you have requested (signing in). Under the EU/UK ePrivacy rules, essential cookies do not require consent.

2. Local storage

We may use your browser’s local storage for small, non-tracking conveniences (for example, remembering a setting while you build an invitation). This information stays on your device.

3. Third-party embedded content

If a couple adds a YouTube link as background music or a video, playing it may set cookies from YouTube (Google). We load such embeds in privacy-enhanced mode(youtube-nocookie.com), which avoids setting tracking cookies unless you actually play the content. This content is governed by Google’s privacy and cookie policies.

4. No analytics or advertising

We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or any third-party tracking tools.

5. Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Note that blocking the essential cookies above will stop you from being able to sign in.
